Clairmont welcomed my husband and I as no other place would have done. The partners all gave us their time, assisted us, taught and advised us. We were touched by their generosity. We felt as though we were part of a family, attentive and considerate.
For me, vines are an integral part of the landscape. I find in vines what appealed to me when I chose my studies to become a landscape designer: being outdoors, directly in contact with the soil and plants.
Clairmont is the total opposite of standardisation and average quality. Precision and personalisation of our work is everywhere, at a really high level. I discovered a world I never imagined existed and I want to let this be known.
In 2017, the year of our first harvest, we were able to follow the progress of our grapes right to the very last stage, see the vats they went into, taste the wine they produced. It was wonderful to see this accomplishment of three years of work in the vineyard and it made us so tremendously proud too.
For me there is Clairmont and the others. Being small is our greatest asset, because the work and importance of each one of us is acknowledged. Thanks to the other partners and the team at the cellar, we are all pro-gressing in the same direction. It is impossible for anyone to do just the bare minimum.
