ITS ORIGIN
Planted in the towns of Granges-les-Beaumont and Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, the Syrah vines lie upon a sandy-clayey soil containing a high proportion of smooth, rounded pebbles ; this is a perfect terroir for producing this fruity, fresh, well-balanced wine.
WIINEMAKING
De-stemmed grapes are put into vats equipped with temperature-control for a period of approximately 10 days; during this time exchanges between the pomace and the must are encouraged, because this develops vivid colour and preserves the original aromas and flavours of the Syrah variety. Maturation lasting just a few months gives a fruity, aromatic wine.
ITS CHARACTER
Showing a deep purple hue, this rich wine reveals a delicate nose of red fruits, such as blackcurrant and hints of violet. Supple and fresh, Caprice Syrah has a gourmand palate with blackberry notes. This wine has discreet tannin and offers a fresh and lovely balanced between fruit and acidity.
FOOD PAIRING
Light and delicious, this wine will perfectly match with your aperitifs, charcuterie and/or cheese boards or even for your summer BBQ.
