ITS ORIGIN
In the heart of the vineyard of Domaine des Clairmonts, we find Jardin Zen by Erik Borja, brother of Jean Michel, founder of Clairmont. The well named garden is a haven of peace devoted to Japanese culture and Mother Nature. This wine named Jardin Zen is an interpretation full of the flavours of this quest to achieve fine balance between being a gardener and a winegrower.
The vineyard of Domaine des Clairmonts has used organic growing methods since 1997. The plots, each one located in the area of Beaumont-Monteux, are cared for by protecting all the qualities of the soil and the biodiversity of the self-propagating plants. The soil, deep, silty-sand, originates from ancient low terraces of pebbles from the Isère.WINEMAKING
After the harvests are picked by hand, winemaking is done separately for the Marsanne and Roussanne grapes in temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats, in this way preserving all their characteristics qualities. Slow fermentation at low temperature makes it possible to protect the distinctive aromatic complexity of these two grape varieties.
ITS CHARACTER
With a beautiful gold colour, this cuvée Jardin Zen reveals intense aromas of white fruits such as apple and pear . The first taste is very fresh and reveals soft white fruits notes. A lovely salty long finish gives to this wine a great intensity.
FOOD PAIRING
Jardin Zen white can be perfectly paired with a piece of poultry with cream and mushrooms or with your melted meal of cheese.
