ADVENTURE

In 2010, after a first harvest in New Zealand where I met Frédéric, Clairmont recruited me for the winemak-ing. I discovered France with delight, its culture, its wines, its gastronomy… macaroons, meringues, caillettes (a speciality of small, smoked meatballs), ravioli, cheeses, fruits of the Rhône Valley…

TAKING ROOT

Far from my family, I was sad at times, but I was made to feel very welcome. Planting my own vineyard was a huge step for me to feel at home here. The history of the domain is firstly a love story with my husband and a love affair with wine. For me it means total involvement.

FRENCH

I love the French language, I adore reading in French. When I first arrived in France, I found myself in the situation where I had to learn lots of new things and that was great!

Sommelière

In Vienna, in Austria, I worked for a top restaurant. I was fascinated by the thickness of the wine list and by the space occupied on it by French wines and all its references. So, I took a training course to become a wine specialist/a sommelière and I wanted to travel to the ends of the earth to learn.

FACE

Clairmont is a small, but very welcoming group; the complete opposite of anonymity. Customers who come to our Open Days see us and they can put a face to the wines they like and choose. This changes everything!

LIVE

I put all my enthusiasm into my vine work, but I am keen to keep time for my other passions: my family, reading, climbing. Being an independent winegrower would not have allowed me to do this, but being a winegrower at Clairmont has done so!
